PEVVELA Privacy Policy
Version: 1.0 Last updated: August 24, 2026 Effective date: 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the PEVVELA app (“PEVVELA”, “App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the local music library, Speaker Group, Apple Music, PEVVELA Plus subscription, diagnostics, and support features.
The app operator and data controller is Sergei Kokota, Mootori 7/3, 10416 Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia. Privacy inquiries: soundshare.support@gmail.com. Support: soundshare.support@gmail.com.
1. Core principle
PEVVELA is designed for predominantly on-device processing. We do not operate our own server to store your music library, listening history, user profile, or Speaker Group session content.
Local Library files and playlists remain on your device. During Speaker Group, data needed for connection and synchronized playback is exchanged directly between participating devices over local Wi‑Fi or a direct device-to-device wireless link — not through the internet or a developer-operated relay. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
2. Data PEVVELA may process
Depending on features you use, PEVVELA may process the following categories.
2.1. Local Library
When you import audio files, PEVVELA accesses only files you choose through Apple’s Files picker or other system-provided sources.
The app may process:
- the audio file itself;
- filename;
- available metadata (title, artist, duration, artwork);
- an internal track identifier;
- a technical file hash used for duplicate detection;
- playlist membership and track order.
This data is used to build your local library and play music. The working library is stored inside the app container. Apple Files is used as an import source and as a destination when you export your library or individual files.
PEVVELA does not upload Local Library to a developer-operated server.
2.2. Speaker Group
Speaker Group lets nearby compatible devices play local music in sync.
For this feature, participating devices may exchange directly (local Wi‑Fi or peer-to-peer between nearby devices, without an internet intermediary):
- the device’s display name;
- temporary device, connection, and session identifiers;
- group membership and connection state;
- title, artist, and other metadata for the current track;
- local-track audio data required for playback on connected devices;
- play, pause, position, and sync commands;
- timestamps, buffer parameters, clock sync, and playback correction data;
- information needed for Nearby Interaction and proximity discovery.
Transmission occurs between devices within a local session. PEVVELA does not relay Speaker Group content to a developer-operated server.
After joining a Speaker Group, connected participants technically receive the audio data required to play the host’s selected local track.
3. Auto-Join for previously used devices
If you enable Auto-Join, PEVVELA may locally remember display names of devices that previously connected successfully. This information is stored in app settings and used only to recognize previously connected devices.
PEVVELA does not use saved names for advertising or user profiling. You can disable Auto-Join in app settings. Data is also removed when you delete app data or uninstall the app per iOS behavior.
4. Nearby Interaction, local network, and peer-to-peer
PEVVELA uses Apple system technologies including Local Network, Bonjour, direct device-to-device wireless links, and Nearby Interaction to discover nearby compatible devices and establish Speaker Group sessions. A shared Wi‑Fi router is not required when devices can connect directly; Speaker Group traffic is not routed over the internet.
PEVVELA does not request GPS coordinates and does not use precise location services for Speaker Group. Nearby Interaction may use supported radio technologies to determine relative proximity between devices. Such processing uses Apple system APIs and is used only for device-connection features.
5. Apple Music
If you use Apple Music features, PEVVELA uses official Apple APIs including MusicKit to access Apple Music data you authorize on that device.
Depending on the feature, the app may access:
- Apple Music authorization status;
- your Apple Music library available on the device;
- now-playing information;
- track, playlist, or station identifiers and metadata;
- artwork images that may be loaded from Apple infrastructure.
Apple Music processing involves Apple services and is also governed by Apple’s terms and policies. PEVVELA does not receive your payment card details from Apple Music.
PEVVELA does not relay protected Apple Music audio streams between Speaker Group devices.
6. PEVVELA Plus subscription and purchases
Purchases and PEVVELA Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
PEVVELA may receive from StoreKit information needed to determine entitlement to purchased features, such as:
- product identifier;
- subscription or entitlement state;
- purchase validity information exposed to the app through StoreKit.
PEVVELA does not receive full card numbers, CVC/CVV, or other complete payment credentials. Payment information is handled by Apple under Apple’s rules.
If the app has no separate purchase-verification server, subscription data is used on-device to gate PEVVELA Plus features.
7. Diagnostics
PEVVELA can generate a diagnostics package when you explicitly request it — for example through Export Diagnostics or when you voluntarily attach diagnostics to a support message.
Diagnostics may include:
- PEVVELA version and build number;
- iOS version;
- device model;
- device name;
- Support ID;
- temporary Speaker Group, device, and session identifiers;
- device role in a session;
- connection state;
- counts of sent and received control messages;
- latency, timestamps, and sync statistics;
- audio engine, buffer, and correction state;
- audio route and technical playback parameters;
- battery or thermal state if available to diagnostics;
- technical error messages and disconnect reasons.
Diagnostics are not designed to include audio file contents, payment credentials, or raw network addresses.
Diagnostics are not sent to the developer automatically. You decide whether to export them and attach them to support. If you send a diagnostics file to support, it becomes part of your request and is processed to investigate and resolve the issue.
8. Support requests
If you contact us by email or through the support form, we may receive:
- your email address;
- subject line;
- message text;
- attachments you choose to include;
- a diagnostics package if you voluntarily add one;
- technical information explicitly included in the support form, such as app and iOS version.
This data is used only to respond, troubleshoot, prevent support abuse, and improve product reliability.
We do not sell support content or use it for advertising profiling.
9. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
In the current version, PEVVELA does not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics platforms to track user behavior.
PEVVELA does not use data to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, and does not sell personal data to advertisers.
If analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or other services that change data processing are added in the future, this Policy and the corresponding App Store Privacy information will be updated before or together with those features.
10. Data retention
On-device data
Local Library, playlists, settings, Auto-Join data, and other local state remain until you delete them, uninstall the app, or iOS clears them in permitted system cases.
Support requests
Support messages and voluntarily sent diagnostics may be retained for up to 24 months after a request is closed, unless longer retention is required for legal obligations, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, or legitimate interests.
We aim to delete data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
11. Legal bases for EU/EEA users
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data only with an appropriate legal basis, which may include:
- contract performance — when processing is necessary to provide a requested app feature or related service response;
- legitimate interests — for example security, abuse prevention, fault diagnosis, and reliability improvements, balanced against your rights;
- consent — when you voluntarily send optional diagnostics or when separate consent is required by law;
- legal obligation — when retention or disclosure is required by applicable law.
12. Third-party processing
We do not sell personal data.
Information may be processed by third parties only to the extent needed for a feature you choose, including:
- Apple — App Store, StoreKit, Apple Music/MusicKit, and iOS system services;
- Google (Gmail) — if you send a support message;
- other providers you choose through the system Share Sheet when exporting files or diagnostics.
Use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
13. International transfers
PEVVELA does not use its own cloud server to store your music library or Speaker Group content.
If you contact support or use Apple or a third-party provider you select, data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. In such cases, protections provided by the relevant provider and applicable law apply.
14. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the app to limit unnecessary data collection and reduce unauthorized-access risk.
No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You are also responsible for securing your device, Apple ID, local network, and files you share with other participants.
15. Rights of EU/EEA users
Where GDPR applies, you may have the right to:
- be informed about processing;
- access personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- request erasure;
- restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive a portable copy where required by law;
- withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Most PEVVELA data stays only on your device and is not in the developer’s possession. Deleting data in the app or uninstalling the app is often the most direct control.
For data sent to us through support, contact soundshare.support@gmail.com.
16. Children
PEVVELA is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children and does not require creating a user account.
If you are below the age required to accept terms or give legally required consent in your jurisdiction, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission where required.
If we learn we received a child’s personal data through support without proper basis, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
17. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when PEVVELA features, data practices, App Store requirements, or applicable law change.
The current version will be published at ../privacy/ and available inside the app. The document always shows the last-updated date. For material changes, we may also notify you in the app or by other appropriate means.
